Small light gray notebook with "July,1911" printed on cover provides two lined pages for each day of the month. RBS notes social activities of the family: tennis, teas, dances, luncheons, dinners, boating on the Hudson. Second half of the month, travel to Europe. July 4: It is settled that Arthur is to cross with us, spend 4 weeks at Gland on Lac Leman, and return with us in September. - Bessie, Daisy, Elizabeth and Arthur to Astor's for fireworks, supper, orchestra and dancing. July 5: Robin is taking 3 courses in the summer school of Columbia College. July 7: Received letters from Addie, Elizabeth Lynch and Margaret Montgomery mailed from Europe. July 13: RBS signed contract for N.Y. Central to move boathouse at their expense, - RBS, Daisy and Arthur set sail on the Savoie for Europe July 20: Arrived; train to Paris. Arthur left for Chateau d'Oex; Daisy with RBS met up with Addie, Elizabeth and Peg in Munich. RBS left for Chateau d'Oex. July 26: Arthur by boat to Gland |
