Provides two lined pages for each day of the month. 01 Tues: Gave Bessie 5. / Kid lost during the night but found by Celine this morning on Finck place. / Daisy, in the Ford, has been on duty all day as canvasser for the 4th Liberty Bond issue. 02 Wed: Daisy has been on duty all day as canvasser for the 4th Liberty Bond issue./ Helen Morton sent over as a present their pony cart to be used with the "Plum". 05 Sat: Bessie went to Mrs. Sallie D. Roosevelt's to hear lecture & tea; French babies./ Eliz. Lynch shut up her house today & came to us to stay. / Daisy got night mail./ Lansing told us that Rhinebeck had bought its quota of Liberty IV loan at noon today with the Astors & Mortons still to be heard from. 08 Tues: Ice in gutter. Last night record for the season, min. 34 ½ degrees./ Mary C. Montgomery arr'd at 4:20./ Eliz. Lynch arr'd at 6:51. . 10 Thurs: Paid Lettie 2 mos. to 26 Oct, 40./ Eliz. Lynch left in the 1:37 train for N.Y. / Mary C. M. lunched with the Starr Millers./ Victor Livingston came to tea. She did on the 4:03 train from N.Y. / Letter from Hambley. / Bessie & Marion Hull visited Miss Cruger & Miss Hunt/ Moved hands of clock& watch back one h to standard time. In the case of the clock on stairs, I affected the change by stopping it for one h. 29 Tues: Miss Marion Hull left in 3:47 train for N.Y./ Kath & I to PO for evening mail. |
