Thirty-two letters, most written from 280 and 271 Mill St., Poughkeepsie, NY and few from the Homestead. RBS's Aunt Eliza misses him, but keeps him informed about the people and the activities in Rhinebeck, Rhinecliff and the area. [Letter #2] Ap 8, 1885: "Kelly's have left Rhinebeck for good. Ellerslie is now Mr. Newtons, whose claim was large." [#4] Aug. 30, 1885: The "great aunts" very pleased and Grace excited about the birth of Robert and Bessie's son. |
