Ten letters from George Suckley to his wife sent to Rhinebeck, 53 Dey Street, New York and Greenwich New York. His business travels include Philadelphia, Baltimore and Boston. He describes his work and the people he meets as well as the weather, his health and advises his wife on hers. He mentions his visit to the Sands family in Brooklyn. Throughout the letters are references to the importance of religion. His letter of August 19th begins with his concern about their first son, Rutsen born on August 4th 1800. |
