Notebook with beige cloth cover with red leather corners. Printed diagonally across center of cover "Memoranda." Written in ink on cover: [diary number] "7 / 1894." Inside cover lists three addresses for Robert B. Suckley: 15 Cortlandt St.; 41 East 80th St.; Rhinecliff, N.Y. Record of expenses, including wages paid, and of some activities. Among the entries: Mar. 26: RBS arranged to take fencing lessons Ap. 21: Mrs. Margaret A. L. Montgomery died of apoplexy Ap. 24: Funeral at the Church of the Incarnation May 1: Christening of Elizabeth and Katharine Suckley at St. James Church May 6: Launch painted white May 10-11: Chose a bicycle for Harry, "Crescent" #75162 May 18: Horse Majestic fell and threw RBS over his head May 19: RBS out in launch.
