Correspondence: George Suckley, 1836-1845 1. 8 July [No Year] : Addressed to Mary at 145 Hudson Street, informs her that he is sending Mr. Skerrit down by boat to get information about her plan to move, discusses his breakfast. 2. 21 July [No Year] : Informs Mary that he will be sending the Spring Wagon to 103 St. Marks to help her finish moving. 3. 24 June 1836 : Weather has prevented his return home, health has improved, other personal news. 4. 6 June 1837 : health, family, personal news, Mr. Creagh's preaching. Letter includes a poem about friendship written in another hand. 5. 20 October 1837 : family's good health, discussed news from Mr. Buel about Mrs. S-, whose condition was worsening. 6. 28 October 1837 : is sending her something from Dr. Fuller, family and personal news. 7. 22 August 1842 : travels to Trenton, weather, family news. 8. 12 July 1845 : moving arrangements, requests that she send oil lamps and other articles, also asks her to order coal. A list of items to be brought is enclosed in the letter. |
