Seventeen letters and postcards to RBS from son Henry. Jan-Mar. Letters from NYC to RBS who is on the way to and in Europe. Reports on weather, snow and ice conditions at Wilderstein and on the river. Receives checks from RBS. [letter #8] May 17. Henry heard from Tucker who can send a man up to give estimates on two proposed sites for the [tennis] court. [#11] June 24. Henry quits job at E.H. Rollins & Sons Investment Bonds (no raise). Continues to give father advice on stocks. [#16] Dec 4. Written on Spencer Trask & Co. / Bankers, 43 Exchange Place, New York letterhead: "...will have large expenses in the Squadron which I expect to join next week" |
