Small light gray notebook with "February,1911" printed on cover provides two lined pages for each day of the month. A number of days with no or few entries. Feb. 6: Montgomery (HMS) arrived at 8 from St. Moritz. He has no. 14, above me. Came via Lausanne. Feb. 11: H.M.S. left in 5:49 for Lausanne. He will proceed tomorrow to St. Moritz. Gave him 100. Feb. 19: Nummie's Cresta Accident. Telegram from Littlefield at St. Moritz that Nummie had received a contusion on the Cresta; not dangerous. / Littlefield telephoned toward evening that the accident was not serious & that he would be out on Tuesday. Later a wire that he could see all friends on Wednesday. Feb. 28: Ladies billiard tournament in evening managed by Beauclerk, Col. Morton & me. Mrs. Cunningham won 1st prize. They gave me a photo for my services. RBS took several short trips with Reuss. |
