Greenwich 7th June 1808 Letter from her son Rutsen and stepson John Lang Suckley to her in Rhinebeck. Rutsen explains that Uncle John says that each letter they write keeps him busy. He explains the he and his stepbrother try to be good boys and make Uncle happy. He and George need summer clothes and hopes she will be home soon. He says he was not sick when he had the measles, only a rash. John says he sent a long letter to his grandfather Lang by the British packet. He also reports that Cousin Frederick is very unwell with a fever. |
