Drowned in India on June 2, 1925 and his body arrived in New York on February 24, 1926. It was identified by X-ray photographs. A funeral was held on February 26, 1926 at the Church of the Incarnation, Madison Avenue, NY NY. New York Times, 21 June 1925: News received of the finding of the body of John Langdon in a river in Kashmir, in northern India, near Tolti, fifty miles from Kardu. It is stated that he disappeared nineteen days ago. |
