Description |
1 page + envelope + note. New York. Keeler encloses a promissory note he signed to RS in the amount of $700 which RS cancelled. Keeler writes to thank him and to report that the bill is not posted on the store on Broadway. Keeler offers to put up a new bill and to "try to ketch [sic] a tenant for you" and to assist RS in any way. Mrs. Keeler has been ill but is recovering; the Keelers hope to spend a few days in the country soon. A few of Keller's acquaintances have died of cholera (he mentions James Robinson of 2nd Avenue near 6th street) and he expresses thanks to God that "the stroke has been so lite [sic] thus far." |
