Description |
1 page + copy of unsigned agreement. Lawrence Labree, Esq., New York. RS reports that after RS received Labree's recent letter, Doyle personally visited him in Rhinebeck. RS thinks that he convinced Doyle that Labree was not the cause of Doyle's difficulties. Doyle offered to pay RS via Labree fifty dollars and to execute an agreement (enclosed) to quit the West Hoboken premises next April 1. RS told Doyle that he would accept this offer if Labree consented to it. RS then reports that he has just received a letter from Doyle claiming that Labree told him that he is trying to "dispose of his place" and will probably have done so by September 1. RS asks Labree for confirmation, as Doyle now proposes to pay the fifty dollers to A.A. Bisssinger (see .10). RS is not sure what arrangement Doyle had with George Suckley (probably tenant at will). |
