2 pages. New York. Wm. B. Platt, Esq. Rhinebeck and John Reed, Rhinebeck. RS letter to Platt introduces "Mr. Wainwright of this City" who had bought the River Farm and asks that Platt extend to Wainwright any advice or infomration Wainwright might require. RS letter to Reed asks Reed to obtain a copy for Wainwright's inspection of the instrument documenting the ownership by the "Trustees of the School House" of the lot on which the the school house is located, either in RS' desk in Rhinebeck or through the trustees. RS also asks Reed to assist Wainwright in engaging Traver and Schaeffer to plow, use RS' cattle and horses, and to remove hay. Reed can expect Wainwright to consult with him on what wages to pay Traver and Schaeffer. |
