2 pages. Rhinebeck. Reed seemed amused when Robert Van Wyck told him that RS spoke of Reed's faintheartedness. He explains that when hiring someone for RS, Reed pays no attention to their religion provided they will suit or be the best for RS. Reed met the German who has lived with Evert Rynders on RS's farm the last six years. He said Evert is not hiring this season but will try to do with what he has in his own family. When the snow fell, Reed added RS and George Suckley's stock from J. Lasher to his own, George's heifer had a calf in January and it froze to death. He has cut the rye straw and praised their straw cutter. |
